Re: Training on generating I-129 forms from Sunapsis
Hi Cindy, I don't really see anything jumping out directly relevant in happyfox -- this is probably a perfect documentation request to send Kathy Abell's way :) I'm happy though to spend some time meeting with you to discuss how this is handled at my institution if you'd like. Just let me know. Than...

Re: Wildcards for Letters
Hi Kim, There are a number of wildcards that are somewhat undocumented that are available in form letters/e-form communications when you use the e-form extensions under the 'Append" section. The append extensions essentially add data to the form for only sunapsis users to see but allow you to then u...

Re: COS jumps to Initial, vs 4.0.5
Not something I'd usually recommend but...have you tried doing this in RTI? The reason I ask is that this sounds like a SEVIS level bug as opposed to an embedded browser. That is assuming you mean the printed I-20 reflects initial and not a COS.

Re: How to: Allow a student to view document associated to a checklist
Hi Kim, The reason it came up in the listserv was primarily about wanting to make PDF copies of signed I-20's available to students through the online services/web part of sunapsis. There could be another process where you want to make PDFS available to someone during a process but the main use case...

Re: Advising Appointments Integration
I think there's reasons NOT to use the schedule management feature in sunapsis but an institution that has just one campus configured in the application definitely *can* use the feature pretty 'easily' for scheduling advising appointments. It won't integrate with your outlook calendar but it will al...

Re: Wildcards for Letters
Hi Kim, Just as a quick note -- you can accomplish all of this prior to sunapsis accepting a feature request by doing one or a combination of the following: 1. Use an e-form to request the certification letters (internal or external) and then use the e-form fields (%clientField001%, %secondApproverF...

Re: Masking University Email Address
Is it you want to ensure that it's a valid email address or you want to ensure it's an institutional email address? Supposedly more expression validation functionality will be forthcoming at some point based on what was shared at the conference. You could consider using a hidden field with the @univ...

Re: Security advantages of separate file server?
We just moved to this method and our reasoning wasn't security based but that it makes changing application servers and upgrades etc. significantly easier without having to deal with also copying PDF files as part of any of the processes.

Re: Import Emails to Notes
Just some notes about the feature: Best to only use when dealing with one record as opposed to a thread about multiple users. Be careful if you have student workers that have a record in sunapsis since part of the 'match' can be email address. Best to make sure they have a separate work email addres...

Re: Extension Config: Append | SEVIS (Funding)
Sort of confused. I wasn't aware this extension interacts with meta information at all?
